Clean Me Floor Polishing Process: Three Steps
1. This step involves removing floors. This step will determine the final outcome of your floors.
Strippers are caustic chemicals that can damage the environment and remove paint from your skirt boards or side. If strippers splash on walls and you don’t pay attention, they can be very difficult to remove. The only way to fix this is to paint them.
However, we use a different method. We attach a dense grit non-scratch pad to the buffing machine. This does the same thing. The buffing machines spin at high speeds to lift the dirt and old polish. After every few meters of stripped polish, we mop the floors with clean water. The floors will look dry and clean when they are done. The floors can now be revived.
2. Floor polishing or sealing – This is the most important step in bringing your floors to life. The polish is applied with an applicator and is a high-grade floor sealer. It is recommended that three to four coats are applied, depending on the desired gloss or shine of the customer’s floors. Also, consider the condition of the floors prior to the application and how long they have been unrestored. It is important to allow the polish to dry between coats. In a well-ventilated area, it can take between 30 and 45 minutes for a layer to dry.
3. The final and third step is to use a non-scratch pad with gentle grit to polish the machine. This will bring out the shine and complete the restoration process.
